Senior Conversation Designer, Consumer Agent
Remote Full-time$170k-$220k + equity
Most agent products feel like talking to a chatbot. Teleperson's consumer agent should feel like a sharp executive assistant who handles your stuff and reports back. You'll own the personality, the tone, and the moment-by-moment language that makes consumers actually trust their agent.
Why this role matters
Voice is one of the few moats that compound for an agent platform. Whatever you write here becomes the default tone for every commercial interaction Teleperson agents have, on both sides of the wire.
What you'll do
- Define and maintain the consumer agent's voice, tone, and disclosure patterns across every task it handles
- Design the language of delegation, approval, refusal, and recovery — including how the agent admits uncertainty
- Write the prompts and guardrails that turn the agent loop into a coherent character, not a generic LLM
- Run experiments and rapid evals on dialogue quality; partner with AI engineering on prompt and model changes
- Author the public style guide that every future Teleperson agent inherits from
What we're looking for
- 5+ years as a conversation designer, content designer, or UX writer on a voice or chat product
- Has shipped at least one production LLM-driven product where the writing was load-bearing
- Strong taste; you can articulate why one phrasing builds trust and another erodes it
- Comfortable in evals and prompt engineering tooling
- Excited to work fully remote
Nice to have
- Background in linguistics, journalism, or screenwriting
- Has written publicly about voice for AI products
